| I
cannot receive email. What do I do? |
| 1.
Make sure you are connected to the internet. Can you browse the
web? If not, contact your ISP (Internet Access Provider) If you
cannot get to the internet, you cannot retrieve email.
2. Try to access the email account in question
via web mail. If you can, then the settings in your email client
(Outlook, Outlook Express, Netscape, etc.) are not correct.
3. Send an E-mail to yourself.
Did you get it? If so, all is well. Just because Uncle Fred said
he sent you an email, and you did not get it, does not mean your
email is not working correctly. Did Uncle Fred type the address
correctly? Is Uncle Fred using the correct address? Is the message
still in Uncle Fred's outbox? Do you have a virus or spam program
running that blocked the email from getting in? These are all
thing we see happening everyday!
|
| I
cannot send email. What do I do? |
| 1.
Make sure you are connected to the internet. Can you browse the
web? If not, contact your ISP (Internet Access Provider) If you
cannot get to the internet, you cannot send email.
2. Try to access the email account in question
via web mail. If you can, then the settings in your email client
(Outlook, Outlook Express, Netscape, etc.) are not correct. Make
sure under the servers tab of the account properties you have
checked "My Server Requires Authentication" in your
email client software.
3. Does
your ISP require you to use their SMTP (Outgoing Mail Server)?
Many do. In an effort to stop spammers from relaying massages
via thier servers, you may have to use your ISP's SMTP server.
(Outgoing Mail Server). If you have an email account that you
use that is provided by your ISP (i.e. bill34534@earthlink.net)
you will find their SMTP server name in the settings for that
account in your email client software . i.e. smtp.earthlink.net,
smtp.sbcglobal.net, etc.
|
| My
site is not coming up! What do I do? |
| 1.

cannot get to the internet, you cannot get to your site.
2. Has your domain name expired? Go to: www.whois.sc,
search for your domain name and look for the domain expiration
date. i.e. Record expires on 02-Jan-2008.
3. If everything checks out, call or email us
ASAP!
